General Environmental Analysis

Geochemical Testing (GT) offers analysis on a wide range of parameters as well as a variety of matrixes. GT is National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) accredited for over 900 parameters across the drinking water, non-potable water, and solid/chemical analysis categories. Our list of parameters is constantly expanding to better serve the existing and potential needs of our clients. With that in mind, please do not hesitate to contact us with your analytical needs. We are always willing to look into additional parameters to meet our clients’ needs.

Field Sampling

The most important step in achieving accurate analysis results is obtaining a proper sample. Geochemical Testing (GT) is fully capable of meeting your sampling needs, whether those needs are for a small project or an entire landfill. We maintain the necessary equipment to properly sample in accordance with required regulations or special permit instructions. Our sampling services include field filtering and field analysis as well as completion of required field data sheets. Our sampling teams are thorough and expedient, saving your company time and money.

  • Soil sampling

Routine field analysis:

  • Flow
  • Temperature
  • pH
  • Turbidity
  • Dissolved Oxygen
  • Specific Conductance

Drinking Water

Governed by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), drinking water quality is one issue important to everyone. Geochemical Testing (GT) is Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) certified for nearly 100 parameters in regards to drinking water analysis, encompassing both the health and aesthetic aspects. Additionally, GT holds limited drinking water accreditation in Maryland and Virginia. GT typically tests potable water for public water suppliers, private water suppliers, homeowners and realtors. Please note that due to demand, nature of the test or regulations, some parameters may be subcontracted to meet clients’ needs.

Routine Drinking Water Analysis:

  • National Primary Drinking Water Standards
  • National Secondary Drinking Water Standards
  • New Source Testing
  • Total Trihalomethanes (TTHMs)
  • Haloacetic Acids (HAA5s)
  • Radiologicals
  • Total/Fecal Coliform/Heterotrophic Plate Count
  • Synthetic Organic Compounds (SOCs)

Non-Potable Water

In general terms, non-potable water is any water not intended for human consumption. This category encompasses everything from streams/lakes to wastewater discharges and just about anything in between. Geochemical Testing (GT) is Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) certified for over 500 non-potable parameters.

Landfill Analysis

A large sub-category of non-potable water is landfill monitoring. Geochemical Testing (GT) offers a full range of landfill services from sampling to analysis and form completion. GT currently services over 100 solid waste facilities across seven (7) states. With over 18 years of experience providing sound and reliable analytical services to landfills, we strive to set the standard for responsive service. Bottom line is… we know the lingo, requirements, and needs of our landfill clients.
